About NSPHE

Homeschooling offers parents the freedom to create meaningful, personalized learning experiences for their children, but it also comes with a learning curve. Navigating curriculum choices, instructional methods, and state requirements can feel overwhelming without a strong support system. Research from the Peabody Journal of Education and the Journal of School Choice shows that homeschooling parents benefit greatly from access to shared knowledge, mentorship, and professional development. Studies highlight that parents who engage in homeschooling communities gain confidence, discover innovative teaching strategies, and feel more empowered in their role as educators. By providing spaces for collaboration and learning, we can ensure that families are equipped with the tools and resources they need to educate effectively and enjoy the journey.

Community is at the heart of successful home education. Connecting with other homeschooling families fosters inspiration, encouragement, and the exchange of ideas that enhance both teaching and learning. Research underscores that parents who engage in professional networks and peer groups have greater access to best practices, educational opportunities, and enrichment activities for their children. A thriving homeschool community not only strengthens families’ commitment to lifelong learning but also ensures that children have meaningful social and educational experiences. By building a supportive, knowledgeable, and engaged community, we create an environment where both parents and students flourish.
